🚀 Welcome to Practical AI for Humans: Built by AI, Powered by Curiosity
Stop for a moment and consider this:
Let me start with something extraordinary: Every single line of code, every blog post, every design element you see on this website was created entirely by artificial intelligence. The website you're reading right now was built in less than 36 hours over the course of one week. Not by a team of developers. Not by hiring an agency. By me, working conversationally with AI.
I'm a Managing Director of IT, so I'm comfortable with technology. But I'm not a professional web developer, I'm not a graphic designer, and I'm definitely not an SEO specialist. Yet in those 36 hours, I created this entire platform—complete with blog posts, digital resources, analytics integration, and search engine optimization—using nothing more than natural language conversations with Claude.
This isn't a website about AI that happens to use some AI tools—this is a website built 100% by AI, demonstrating the very principles we teach.
⏱️ The Numbers
- ✅ First working version: <3 hours
- ✅ Complete platform with all features: 36 hours over 1 week
- ✅ Lines of code written by hand: 0
- ✅ Development budget: $0
- ✅ Just me + AI conversations
💬 Everything You See Here Started With a Conversation
The first working version of this site took less than three hours using Claude Code, an AI development tool that turns conversational requests into functioning code. I literally described what I wanted in plain English, and Claude wrote the code, set up the structure, and created a deployable website.
But it didn't stop there. Over the following days, I refined the design, added features, and expanded the content. Every blog post you'll read here? Generated by AI based on prompts I provided. The images accompanying those posts? Created by Google Gemini using text-to-image generation. The podcast episodes that bring these topics to life? Generated by Google NotebookLM, which transforms written content into engaging audio discussions. The free digital resources available for download? Created by AI following my direction. The color scheme and visual style? Chosen by AI after I simply said "make it look like a cool blog site for practical AI."
Even the technical backend work—registering with Google and Bing search consoles, setting up Google Analytics, optimizing for SEO and GEO—was guided by step-by-step instructions from AI. I provided the creativity and direction; AI handled the execution.
⚡ This Isn't About Me—It's About What YOU Can Do
I'm sharing this not to showcase my technical prowess, but to demonstrate something fundamental: We've reached a point where AI can transform ideas into reality faster than most people realize.
If someone can use AI to build this entire platform, imagine what you can create in your own domain of expertise:
- Teachers can build custom learning platforms tailored to their students
- Entrepreneurs can launch products without hiring developers
- Creatives can bring their ideas to life without technical barriers
- Small business owners can create professional digital presence
You don't need to be a coding expert. You don't need years of design experience. You don't need a background in digital marketing. What you need is:
- Creativity – The ability to envision what you want to create
- Natural language skills – The capacity to clearly describe your ideas (you're already doing this every day)
- Openness to experimentation – A willingness to try, iterate, and learn as you go
If you have those three things, you have everything you need to create remarkable things with AI. The barrier to entry for creating digital products has never been lower. Quality doesn't require large teams or massive budgets anymore.
🎯 What You'll Find Here
This site exists for one purpose: to show you what's possible and give you the practical knowledge to do it yourself.
The blog is organized into focused categories that cover the full spectrum of practical AI applications:
- Daily Life – Real-world applications that make everyday tasks easier and more efficient
- Business & Productivity – Professional use cases that deliver measurable results
- AI Basics – Foundational concepts explained clearly, without jargon
- Prompt Engineering – The techniques that turn mediocre AI outputs into exceptional ones
- Tutorials – Step-by-step guides for building specific solutions
Every blog post follows a consistent format developed through collaboration between me and AI. That format itself is a template you can adapt for your own projects.
But the real value lies in the digital products. These aren't surface-level overviews or generic advice—they're detailed deep dives into specific areas that contain real prompts you can copy and use and working code you can implement today. Each resource represents hours of experimentation and refinement, distilled into practical tools you can put to work immediately.
Because that's the point: everything here isn't just content to consume—it's a demonstration of process you can replicate, with the actual building blocks provided.
🎁 Your Invitation: Start Building Today
I built this site in 36 hours to prove a point: the barrier between imagination and implementation has never been lower. The tools are here. The technology works. What's been missing is the bridge between "AI is impressive" and "I can actually use AI to build something real."
That's what Practical AI for Humans is—a bridge.
So I invite you to explore. Download the free resources. Read about real applications. Listen to the AI-generated podcasts. But most importantly, try something yourself. Take an idea you've had sitting in the back of your mind—something you thought would require skills or time you don't have—and experiment with bringing it to life through AI.
You might be surprised at what 36 hours of curiosity and conversation can create.
🎭 The Human Element: Conducting the Orchestra
Here's the crucial part: while AI wrote every line of code and content, human judgment guided every decision.
AI doesn't replace human creativity, vision, or judgment. Instead, it amplifies your ability to execute on your ideas. Think of it like conducting an orchestra. The musicians (AI) are incredibly skilled, but they need a conductor (you) to create something cohesive and meaningful.
My role in building this platform was to:
- Define the vision and purpose
- Make strategic decisions about features and priorities
- Evaluate quality and provide feedback
- Understand the audience and their needs
- Decide what to build and why
The limiting factor is no longer technical skill—it's imagination and direction.
THE AI TOOLKIT BEHIND THIS SITE
- Claude & Claude Code – All website code, blog content, and technical implementation
- Google Gemini – All images and visual content
- Google NotebookLM – All podcast episodes and audio content
Welcome to Practical AI for Humans. Let's build something remarkable. 🌟
Ready to see what 36 hours of AI-powered creation looks like? You're already experiencing it. Now it's your turn.
